Secondary (All-through) School for Cobham opening September 2014

Cobham Free School is continuing our recruitment for the All-through School. Please see the vacancies section of this website for further details.

The DfE have approved our application to open a secondary school in Cobham and we are very excited to be in the pre-opening phase of the project to open our new Senior Department in September 2014. We anticipate that the school will be 3 form entry with a target maximum of 24 pupils in a class (72 pupils per year). It will offer continuity of excellent provision for our existing pupils in future years, as well as creating new places each year for children leaving other primary schools at the end of Year 6. We would like to thank the hundreds of parents who've supported our bid so far. Please see the Press Release and our Senior Department and Admissions pages for more information.

Message from the Executive Head Designate - Michaela Khatib

Michaela Khatib - Head of Cobham Free School
On behalf of the Cobham Free School Team, I would like to thank everyone who has supported the project and has allowed our vision for an exceptional school to become a reality at last. We are looking forward to many exciting times ahead as we continue to develop our new school to include the Junior Department in September 2013 and our proposed Senior Department in the following academic year, 2014.

At Cobham Free School we believe in offering excellent standards of tuition, delivered by a team of highly qualified, experienced staff. We believe that all pupils should have access to specialist teaching from the moment they arrive in Reception and we feel very privileged to have developed partnerships with Chelsea FC Foundation and The Yehudi Menuhin School to help us achieve this aim.

I am delighted and proud to be part of the Cobham Free School Team. It is a pleasure to be helping to create an environment where a new generation of children will be inspired to be creative, independent learners. It is also exciting to work with such a talented staff team, to offer our pupils a wide range of experiences, and to allow them to acquire the skills and knowledge to help them achieve their ambitions in life.
