Cobham Free School - The Best For All
**NEWS UPDATE**
We have had an overwhelming response during our recent formal admissions process and we are now full (oversubscribed) for the Reception year joining in September. However, we do still have a few places left for Year 1 and Year 2, so admissions will now be accepted on a first come first served basis for these two year groups for September. Please apply via our admissions page.
We are also making good progress with the acquisition of our site and the appointment of our Headteacher. We will be making an announcement on both of these matters later this month.
The motto of Cobham Free School is “Optimum Omnibus” which means “The best for all”. We see it as our mission to make an excellent, balanced education available to everyone in the community, irrespective of their background. Our aim is to produce confident, independent learners who have a broad understanding of all the major areas of knowledge. We will prepare each child for their future schooling, giving them a strong foundation in numeracy, literacy and a full range of other traditional subject areas. Additionally, we intend to extend our pupils' experiences by offering opportunities to participate in a wide range of extra-curricular activities.
Our aim is to make available to everyone the best practice from the private sector. This means:
- Small class sizes of 20-23 pupils
- An emphasis on nurturing the individual child
- Extended school day available (8 am - 6 pm) to help working parents
- Foreign language (French) included in the curriculum
- A full programme of 'outside classroom' activities such as music, drama, sport and gardening
If you are a parent and wish to register your child’s to start at Cobham Free School in September 2012 please apply on our admissions page.
